Acquia Drupal 8 Grand Master with over ten years of Drupal web development experience. Experienced in website architecture, maintenance and security. Prior to this twenty five years’ experience in television broadcast engineering, working for BBC, Channel 4 and Red Bee Media. Have considerable knowledge of developing software applications using Drupal and other web related technologies. Designed and developed several software systems for processing data and files related to the transmission of television commercials and programmes. Technology enthusiast constantly keeping abreast of new trends, now with several AWS cloud computing qualifications. Currently studying React. Developed Drupal modules for various IOP company websites.
Upgraded Drupal 8 and Drupal 9 sites to higher versions.

Senior Engineer, Red Bee Media, London April 2008 – July 2010 .

Designed and built an online system for decoding green button transmission events from transmission schedules, using PHP, XML and MYSQL which successfully enabled greater accuracy in detecting missing events and generated useful statistical analysis.
Managed the main Channel 4 VTR area at Red Bee Media.
Worked in C4 playout suite to ensure successful transmission of commercials.
Mentored and trained junior members of staff in operational, technical procedures.
Gained promotion to acting technical supervisor role for a year which involved working in the main MCR ( Master Control Room) monitoring all channel outputs and liaising with external third party facilitators such as BT, Arqiva, SKY and many TV production companies .

Senior Engineer, Channel 4 Television Company, London September 1989 – April 2008

Conceived, developed and built a database administration software system using PHP, MYSQL, HTML and JavaScript which processed all commercials delivered to Channel 4 over a five year period. The system detected commercials absent from Channel 4 transmission servers and saved many man hours of manual searching.
Devised a software application to absorb daily XML transmission schedules into a MYSQL database so staff could see program and interstitial material information across all channels.
Managed the day to day running of the commercial transmission area ensuring the correct administration and broadcast of commercials, promotional material and sponsorships with very high reliability thereby safeguarding advertising revenue streams for Channel 4 in excess of £750m pa.
Supervised a busy technical area and ensured staff met transmission deadlines.
